Senior Strategist, Equities, within the Strategy and Tactical Asset Allocation Team at ING Investment Management, Patrick is responsible for tactical sector, region, size and style investment recommendations for equities in the firm’s top-down global equity strategy.
With ING IM since 1989, he began his career as a financial analyst, where he learned the fundamentals of economic analysis underpinning investment management, working up to become the portfolio manager of institutional mutual funds and discretionary mandates. Later, he was appointed head of ING IM’s Asset Allocation and Marketing Support in Brussels, where he developed technical expertise in tactical asset allocation as part of his team’s marketing role.

A native of Belgium, Patrick is fluent in Dutch, French and English. A sought-after financial expert, he regularly appears on Belgian business television and webcasts for major Belgian financial newspapers, as well as being a frequent guest speaker in the Belgian financial and academic communities.
After taking his degree in applied economic sciences, Patrick completed a Masters Programme in Management at the Vlerick School for Management in Ghent in 1995.
